DOWN WITH THE PRO-IMPERIALIST SIMITI’S GOVERNMENT

1. The Workers Revolutionary Party is denouncing the American and NATO΄s intervention that is taking place right now in Yugoslavia. We are calling the working class, the youth and all the other poor people of the cities and the countryside, to demonstrate with any means, their resistance against the drums of war, beating now, in our regim. Those who inflict the class war against the social rights of the people, those who impose poverty , unemployment, starvation and misery for the society, those who prepare the gullotine to take Ocalan΄s head, these are the ones who lead the war dance in the Balcan΄s peninsula.

One must be too stupid or too naive, to believe that this intervention whitch is taking place, stands for the or the or the . It was president Clinton who clearly declared that the intervention is about and on the other hand various European leaders who supported him, spoke about .

How dare saying such things, those who support Ancara΄s regime, slaughtering thousands of Kurds civilians and occupying half of Cyprus , those who support the Zionist state of Israel, occupying illegaly the Palestinian terrirories and these of its neighbouring states, those who support the new military regime of Indonesia, slaughtering several minorities, those who armed the Mexican army against Zapatistas? How they dare talking about peace and democracy the European imperialists who gave to his executioners, who are killing, in cold blood, Basques fighters or Irish catholics?

2. The responsibility of the imperialists about the threatening massacre in Balkans, in a new version of intervention ... , is clear. After having provoked and put fire in the civil war in Bosnia-Erzegovina, they are now transferring the war to Kossovo. It is clear that the Rambouillet negotiations were nothing but the antechamber of the imperialstic-NATO intervention. The immediate aim is the dissolution and subjection of the New Yugoslavia which despite its bureaurcratic distortions is still a remnant of the continuation of the Great Partisan revolution that defeated the nazi conquerors, united the south Slavs and created the structures of a (deformed) workers state. Yet the imperialist plans are not limited in Yugoslavia. The Balkan peninsula is to be adjusted to the New Imperialist Order. In addition, the war against Yugaslavia, on the eve of the ceremonies for the 50th anniversary of NATO, is part of the general plans for the expansion of this imperialist Pact to Eastern Europe and former USSR for the establishment of the in this area where the process of restoration of capitalism is blocked, particularly after the financial crach of 1998.

USA , Canada, UK, France, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Belgium and -for the first time after the 2nd World War on an expedition ouside its borders - Germany (plus others), are the countries leading this war dance. The exception from the energetic participaton of Italy, Greece and Turkey, for obvious reasons, because of their closeness to this contoversial area, does not decrease the responsibility of these States would be impossible the intervention to Kossovo, if Italy had not yield the NATO΄s Air-Force bases in Aviano and elsewhere. And further more it would be impossible for the NATO΄s infantry to arrive at Yugoslav Macedonia, if Greece hadn΄t permit their approaching, through Litochoro and Salonica. For obvious reasons it would be impossible for NATO΄s infantry and tanks of Britain and France to approach Kossovo, through Albania or Bulgaria. The decision of Simitis government to help the intervention, was crucial for its realisation. The Greek capitalst class for the second time within a month, committed a historical treachery against those who were supposed to be its friends. In February was the Kurds’ time, in March the Serbs’. The recently re-baptized, modernists yuppies of PASOK (Socialist Party), in their conference, are now leading the country to the American and European float, using every means necessary.

3. In this dramatic moment for the Balkan area, the nations of this peninsula, must give the most decisive answer. The American-NATO intervention must be clearly denounsed. The Workers Revolutionary Party (EEK) demands, the DEFEAT OF THE AMERICAN TROOPS AND THEIR ALLIES. At the same time we denounce the nationalistic regime of Milosevic of being responsible, in the first place, of creating the Kossovo question. If the autonomy hadn΄t been abolished by the Great Serbian nationalism back in 1989, the situation (perhaps and to the rest of former Yugoslavia as well), would be different. The recognition of the right of self-determination of Kossovars Albanians and all the other nations in the area, is a basic principle. This does not mean that we support at any moment, any separatist movement, with any kind of leadrship such as this of the different sections of UCK - the National Liberation Army of Kossovo - which recently moved in the diplomatic and military area, in a way to provoke the situation and challenge NATO΄s intervention.

The drama of the Kossovar Albanians refugees (and Serbian minority) in the area , comes from the policy of Serbian nationalism and the pro-imperialst leadrship of UCK. They even betrayed their aim of an indipentent Kossovo, by expulsing the most extremists elements and accepting the doubtfull plan of autonomy inflicted by West powers and also accepting NATO΄s armed forces to adjust it.

4. The task of every internatiolalist-revolutionist in the Balkans, is double:

We support the victory of the Yugoslavian army against NATO forces and we demand the expulsion of the imperialists away from this area. We denounce the policy of ethnic-cleansing of Serbian nationalists (military and para-military Chetnicks) against the Albanian civilians. We support the right of independance, if they wish so. We denounce the leadership and the political line of UCK which becomes the of the NATO forces. We ask for the brotherhood of Serbs, Albanians, Slav-Macedonians and the rest of the Balkan΄s nations, with an equal participation , in a Socialist Balkan Federation.

* Fight against imperialism, nationalism, war and fascism.

* International solidarity and co-orporation of the Balkans’ nations.

* Down the counter-revolutionary governments of Greece and Turkey.

* Down with the nationalists trying to restore capitalism in the

Balkans.

* NATO, USA, EU get out of Balkans.

* Not even one Greek soldier to Kossovo. Close down all the NATO bases

in Grece.

* FOR THE SOCIALIST BALKAN FEDERATION.
