We Lose a Friend and Colleague to a Snake Bite.

This report is dedicated to Anibal, a quiet, gentle soul, Health Promoter in his community of San José Gengadó  who volunteered his time and life to the healing of others.  He died yesterday from a snake bite, after receiving treatment from a traditional healer. 

 

In his memory we will provide a special course on snake-bite treatment and would like to raise $3,200. to provide each of our communities with 2 vials of anti-snake bite serum (It is $50 a vial!).  This provides enough for each Health Promoter to provide enough medication for the victim to survive to a regional center where adequate treatment can hopefully be provided.  Donations in Anibal’s name (check written to Concern America, with Anibal’s name in the lower left hand corner) can be made for this purpose to:
